The latest book in the Walking On Country Series by the incredible April Clarke is "Walking On Country - What Do Your Feel?" April is a wonderful storyteller and has created a series of engaging texts that support all of us to embed indigenous perspectives in to our everyday work with children.
April's book is based on an Aboriginal Grandmother's experiences of being on Country with her grandchildren and the special experiences they share and learn about together. Written from a Koorie perspective, the book invites readers of all cultural backgrounds to engage in the story and think about what they might feel the next time they go outside for a walk. You just have to stop and listen'. 'Walking On Country - What Do You Feel?' is a story that can be read between parents/carers and children whilst also being an engaging story for use in early learning services and school settings.
