About Us

The Early Years Treasury, owned by Karen Glancy, an Early Childhood Teacher and Consultant, is an emporium of locally, fair-trade and ethically made, long lasting and hard to find resources that reflect community diversity and promote rich learning opportunities for children.

The resources include local artisan made doll’s clothes and bedding, timber resources and fair-trade treasures alongside beautiful ethically made learning materials.

We also provide professional learning opportunities, and DIY resource classes.

Karen Glancy has worked in the Early Years sector for over 30 years with children, educators and families. Gardening and creating with children, community involvement, sustainable living and supporting and enhancing children and families’ wellbeing are important influences in the work she does with early years’ services as a trainer, SRF coach, mentor and owner of The Early Years Treasury.

Karen is particularly interested in the development of authentic, sustainable learning environments that support the wellbeing of all stakeholders using versatile, high-quality materials.
